Do I have to bring a partner?
You definitely don’t have to bring a partner, but you are welcome to. Dancing is a social sport, and we structure our lessons so that you learn to dance with anyone.
What if I have never danced before?
You don't have to have any dance experience, absolute beginners are welcome! We encourage you to sign up for a beginners course, and complete the whole set of lessons.
What level should I try?
- Beginner – Try this level if you have had little or no dance experience. Our beginner classes are for total beginners, no experience necessary!
- Improver – This level may suit you if you have been to a few beginners classes and feel you are ready for something slightly more challenging.
- Intermediate – At this level you will learn more complex moves and combinations.
- Advanced – For the experienced dancer.
If you are unsure of the level you are at, you can try different classes on a casual basis and decide which level suits you best. Also you are welcome to consult our instructors as to what level is suitable for you.
What do I wear?
Wear something comfortable and that you can move in. Dancing is very active.
What shoes do I wear?
There's no need to wear special dance shoes. As with your clothing, wear something comfortable that you can move in. Avoid shoes with grippy soles though- shoes with a smooth sole are best. Ladies, you may prefer to start out in flat shoes (rather than heels). If you wish to purchase dance shoes, have a chat to us after class.
How do I pay?
We take payment in class by cash, and encourage people to buy concession cards.
Can I come and watch a class?
You can come and watch a few minutes of a class, but we recommend that you actually try a class, as participating is much more fun and will really give you an idea about whether the class suits you
How do I register?
Send us an email address, message us on facebook, and fill in the form on our website. You are also welcome to come along to class and register in person. Just arrive a little early so we can get your details and answer any questions you might have.
